The entrepreneurs of the creative and cultural industry will have a new home in Marbella: the Center for Social Innovation, baptized as ‘Social Hub’. This space, which is under construction, will be located in the Trapiche Norte neighborhood and will have an area of more than 500 square meters and a budget of almost 590,000 euros.
The mayor of Marbella, Ángeles Muñoz, has visited the premises and pointed out that “the cultural sector is rapidly transforming into one with great potential for generating resources, promoting social activity and creating employment.”
The building, consisting of two floors and various classrooms with capacity for 78 individuals, will put meeting rooms, coworking spaces, cafeteria and common areas available to future entrepreneurs looking for a place where develop your creativity and convert your ideas in a lucrative reality.
At first, the space that will now occupy the ‘Social Hub’ was offered to the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) to install there a new detachment of the Civil Guard of Traffic, but finally it was decided to locate it in a plot in the area of La Torrecilla. After the sudden change, Muñoz has specified that «the building will be modern and functional«.
The budget, totaling 588,000 euros, comes from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and will make it possible for the project ‘Marbella Creative and Inclusive City’, take your course.
