The city of Marbella yesterday focused its agenda on the second day of the London World Travel Market (WTM) tourism fair, its agenda of meetings in the British, Chinese and American markets. The mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, and the general director of the branch, Laura de Arce, have held meetings with prominent tour operators from these countries and have signed an agreement with Fox Communications, the agency that will develop this year’s promotional campaigns for the city in the United Kingdom.
“For us, maintaining the level of promotion of our city in these geographical areas is crucial to ensure the recovery of the sector once the pandemic has reduced its effects on our destination,” said Muñoz, who pointed out that “the Fox communication is a sure value for our strategic planning in this country ”. Likewise, the councilor has advanced in a future collaboration agreement with CTrip, the largest travel operator in China, with more than 300 million registered users from that country.
On the other hand, on the day a meeting was also held with an American agency, located in Chicago, which “is already working in our destination in order to start bringing groups of American tourists from October 2022 and we have requested advice to organize attractive initiatives and activities for their clients ”, De Arce pointed out.
The day was completed with meetings with the British tour operator jet2.com and the incentive travel company Connections.
