The Marbella Town Hall has renewed collaboration agreements with Bancosol Y cudeca to support the programs developed by both entities and that benefit more than 3,600 people in the municipality.
The Mayor of Marbella, Angeles Muñozhighlighted the work they carry out in favor of the most vulnerable people and recalled that the Consistory allocates more than four million euros in its budget this year to associations, mainly in the social field.
Thus, in the case of Bancosolthe subsidy, quantified in €57,000will serve for the main programs promoted by the association, such as food guarantee and social and labor insertion.
“We are facing one of the most supportive entities, which has been working in our municipality for more than a decade so that no family is left without basic resources,” Muñoz detailed, who highlighted that the group currently serves 3,500 people and distributed the year spent in the municipality a total of 170,000 kilograms of food.
The President of Bancosol, Diego Vazquez, has thanked the City Council for its support with the signing of this new agreement. “From the first stage of the mayor, she opened her doors to us, saw our work and did not hesitate to collaborate with us”, she maintained, while adding: “It is essential that the institutions contribute because in the end they are responsible for the citizen has the dignity he deserves”. Regarding the agreement with cudecawhich has a game of €20,000the mayor has assured that this amount “will serve to cover part of the expenses of the association, which are added to other forms of financing such as the two stores it has in the city, in Marbella and San Pedro Alcántara, managed by its own volunteers “.
