The City Council has supported this Wednesday the dance academies that will represent Marbella at the end of European contest ‘Live Your Dream’, which will take place in Paris from September 2 to 4, with the delivery of sports equipment that “will also make it possible to promote the name of our city in the event and in the French capital”, according to the mayor, Ángeles Muñoz.
The councilor wanted success to the participants and highlighted “the work they have been doing in the last yearin collaboration with the Consistory, to be able to finance this adventure”.
Muñoz, accompanied by the Councilor for Sports, Manuel Cardeña, and the coordinating advisor for Fiestas, Yolanda Marín, stressed that the four dance academies (Melania Leiva, Solera de Jerez, Alba Donoso and Rocío from ‘Muévete’) will participate in the French city “with different styles” and has stated that “it is a unique opportunity for the members of this expedition, made up of 150 people who will bear the name of Marbella all over Paris.”
It has also reaffirmed the municipal collaboration “from the first moment we were informed of this initiative” and recalled the different actions that have been promoted to obtain funds, such as the recent concert by the Musical Association of Marbella.
