Today took place the ceremony of delivery of diplomas and medals of merit and permanence to more than a hundred agents on the occasion of the celebration of the Patron Saints’ Day. “It is a day in which we have the opportunity to recognize, collectively but also individually, the work carried out day by day in our city,” said the mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, who was present. Likewise, he wanted to thank “the commitment, dedication and professionalism that they have shown since the beginning of the pandemic to guarantee the well-being and ensure the health of all of us.”
The first mayor, who has been accompanied by the Councilor for Security, José Eduardo Díaz, and the Chief of the Local Police, Javier Martín, stressed that “in times of greatest fear and uncertainty, they have been working on the front line and they have given everything in solidarity and with absolute generosity ”:“ The City Council and the whole of Marbella society will continue to give them their love and admiration ”.
Likewise, he has ensured that the Government team will continue to allocate the necessary resources to help consolidate the Local Police as one of the most advanced in the country, reinforcing the workforce with the incorporation of agents and betting on new technologies and innovation.
The mayor has also asserted that “the close collaboration with the National Police and the Civil Guard make Marbella a safe city in which we all work for a common goal, which is none other than to contribute to improving the quality of life of citizens” .
Finally, he wanted to extend his congratulations to the relatives of the agents “because they are a fundamental pillar in the personal and professional life of each one of them.”
