Marbella Town Hall has promoted an information and advice service for young people in the city who wish to carry out a exchange or volunteering in Europe completely free of charge and without requirements, just be between 18 and 30 years of age, as announced this Wednesday by the acting councilor for the branch, Enrique Rodríguez.

The Youth delegation and the Arrabal Association have organized a series of meetings, which will start next June 28to guide those who are interested in this program that will bring numerous benefits, such as improving the curriculum and other languages, reinforcing independence or learning about new cultures.

“In these times in which getting a good job is still difficult, but where young people have many concerns and desire to learn new experiences, the fact that they can tour the European territory it becomes a luxury within the reach of few”, indicated Rodríguez.

In this sense, he has detailed that “that is why this information service aims to provide the possibility to all young people in the town who want to travel around Europe for short or long periods benefit from different resources that exist at their disposal, such as the Erasmus, Erasmus Plus programs or volunteering and exchanges through the European Solidarity Corps”.

“In addition to the advantages already mentioned, they allow strengthen skills and competencies of the participants, living together and working on common projects with other young people and an opportunity to help the community as a whole inside and outside Europe, and all this at no cost”, he stressed.

To this end, it has specified that “it will be the suburb associationwith extensive experience and knowledge in the management of the processing and coordination of these subsidies, exchanges and volunteering, who will be in charge of carrying out the different meetings that will take place at the Youth headquarters (Avenida Jacinto Benavente) to inform and coordinate the requests of anyone who wants to enjoy any of these programs”.

Meetings will begin on June 28.

“They will assist and support both the young people and their families in the face of any questions that may arise,” he stated. The meetings will begin on June 28, starting at 5:00 p.m., and will continue on July 5 and 19, August 9 and 23, and September 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., returning to be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on September 20, October 4 and 18, November 8 and 22 and December 1 and 13. In addition to these informative sessions that any young person can attend freely, they will coordinate with the different HEIs of Marbella, Las Chapas, San Pedro Alcántara and Nueva Andalucía.

For his part, Juan de Lucas, coordinator of the International Area of ​​the Arrabal Association, specified that “it is totally free; here there is no small print and the virtues are many, from traveling from a week to a year with all expenses paid to a project that can be sports, environment or minor. The range is very wide and, in addition, we try to adapt to meet the demands that are made of us”.
