The Marbella Town Hall has published this Friday a municipal proclamation, on the occasion of the Night of San Juan, which includes the authorization to make controlled bonfires on six beaches in the municipality, with the aim of protecting and guaranteeing the safety of people, property and common heritage, in addition to avoiding inconvenience to third parties, as reported by the Consistory.
Specifically, fires may be made exceptionally on the beaches of San Pedro Alcántara, Nueva Andalucía (next to the Moragas area), El Cable, El Pinillo, Alicate and Real de Zaragozawhere only the use of wood will be allowed as fuel, and the burning of plastics, glass and other materials that can create danger or degrade the sand is prohibited.
Also, you must maintain a safety distance of at least eight meters with the different facilities, equipment and uses of the beaches and the launching of incandescent lanterns is prohibited, have had an impact from the City Council.

To obtain authorization, establishments must communicate it to the Playas de Marbella delegation before June 16. The cleaning service will start working at 4:00 a.m., so the City Council requests citizen collaboration to ensure proper development of the actions.
On the beaches where the lighting of bonfires will be allowed, the open public toilets located on the sand and on the promenade throughout the night, with additional cleaning staff for these facilities.
