The city of Marbella will celebrate the traditional Night of San Juan, which will take place on June 23, with live music, food and drink at popular prices or light shows and fire on El Cable beach, in addition to the famous traditional bonfire on the ground floor of the Antonio Lorenzo Cuevas municipal stadium, as announced on Tuesday by the mayor of Youth, Enrique Rodríguez.
The councilor explained that the event will begin at 9:30 p.m. with a first pass of fireworks, lights and juggling of ‘The tent of the stars’, giving way at 10:00 p.m. to the concert by Luitingo and his band“which will delight attendees with the best flamenco pop”.
“This is an artist who has participated in different programs such as ‘Got Talent Spain’ and in the nomination for the best original song at the Goya Awards for the film ‘Operación Camarón’, added the mayor, who has advanced that, after the concert, there will be a second juggling show at 11:40 p.m. by the aforementioned company from Malaga, “creator of one of the best current circus schools, with artists from different places and that will give rise to the traditional lighting of the bonfire and the well-known DJ Micky Rodríguez” at midnight. In this case, he has highlighted that it is a radio host who “will be in charge of giving an end to the party to match a whole night of fun”.
During the event, attendees will be able to enjoy a neon fluorescent body painting workshopas well as participation in a ecological contest which will take place in one of the tents located in the workshop area, where they will be given a bag to fill with the waste dumped on the beach. “With this, in addition to helping to leave our Playa El Cable clean, they will obtain a participation to opt for one of the ‘tablets’ or ‘smartwatch’ that will be raffled as a prize”, he stressed.
In addition, the Citizen Participation delegation will collaborate with the celebration of the San Juan event organized by the Las Albarizas Neighborhood Association on Magallanes Streeton the ground floor of the Antonio Lorenzo Cuevas Municipal Stadium starting at 8:00 p.m., with a performance by the dance academies of Gema Piña and Karina Parra. At 10:00 pm there will be a performance by the musical group Velada and at 12:00 pm, the traditional burning.
