The City Council of marbella will commemorate the world entrepreneurship day next April 20 with an intense agenda of activities in the Business Incubator and in the Plaza de Los Naranjos to which you can access for freeas announced on Wednesday by the Councilor for Economic Development and SMEs, Cristóbal Garre.
The mayor has indicated that among the objectives of the event is bring the Marbella Social Hub program closer to companies, entrepreneurs and citizens in general. To this end, five different thematic spaces have been organized in which, among other issues, the entrepreneurs participating in La Accelerator, the Sustainable Development Goals and the ‘Marbella Creative and Inclusive City’ project.
The activities, to which can be accessed for free and without the need for registration, they will take place between 11:00 and 16:00, as detailed by the mayor, who has reiterated that “the entire productive sector of the city will be summoned to learn about the program.” Garre recalled that World Entrepreneurship Day is actually commemorated on April 16, a date that this year coincides with Glory Saturday, “forcing us to postpone the event until the 20th”, and added that the day will also have a dynamic networking section, live music, sponsorship of Cervezas Victoria and live cartoons.
For his part, the CEO of Collective Innovation, Nacho Muñoz, has specified that parallel to the actions that will take place in the Plaza de los Naranjos, a agenda in the Business Incubator itself which will start at 11:00 am with an institutional inauguration. Subsequently, there will be a series of informative talks on sustainable companies ambassadors of Marbella Social Hub (11:30 a.m.), the Sustainable Development Goals (12:00 p.m.), the innovation program itself (12:30 p.m.), the ‘Marbella Creative and Inclusive City’ project (1:30 p.m.) and two rounds of presentations by the 20 projects that are currently in La Acceleradora (1:00 and 2:00 p.m.).
Finally, the advisor responsible for the council, Alejandro Freijo, has delved into the Marbella Social Hub programme, “an innovation network in which companies, entrepreneurs, associations, third sector groups participate and entities committed to the 2030 Agenda, that is, convinced that the path to development and growth passes through respect for social, economic and environmental balance.
To this end, the City Council is promoting four actions, fundamentally such as the project accelerator, in which 20 companies currently participate and receive support in the maturation of their business model; the School of Social Impact, in which training actions are periodically carried out in the online and face-to-face for participants to acquire knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship; the Technical Office, a mentoring service for associations to answer questions, explore opportunities or advise on the process of creating new services, and the Ecosystem, through the creation of a network of agents of change from different roles and types of organizations to make visible and share good practices in sustainable economy.
