Marbella Town Hall has scheduled complementary sports activities within the acts of the Fair and Festivals of the city, which will be held from June 7 to 12, for which it has included six disciplines between athletics, tennis, racquetball, rhythmic gymnastics, basketball and petanque, as reported on Tuesday by the councilor for the field, Manuel Cardeña.
The mayor has highlighted that “it is a pride to start them again and we hope that they will be a success and that the neighbors will enjoy them, as has happened in previous editions, and can also contemplate the talent of our athletes”.
Cardeña, who has been accompanied by the coordinating advisor for Fiestas, Yolanda Marín, and the heads of the participating local clubs, has detailed that among the events is the Legua San Bernabé on Saturday June 4leaving from the Plaza del Mar Shopping Center and a route of five kilometers.
In it, he has indicated that the categories from pre-benjamín to master 55both male and female, where the children will intervene at 5:30 p.m. and adults, at 7:30 p.m.
Also, there will be the Tennis league from June 4 to 12, starting at 10:00 am, at the Paco Cantos Sports Center with men’s open, over 55 and doubles. On June 4, the Elena Benítez Sports Palace in San Pedro will be the scene, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., of the rhythmic gymnastics exhibition of the students of the Municipal Sports Schools, aged between 4 and 15 years.
On the other hand, Cardeña has added that there will be a petanque tournament on June 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Río Huelo Sports Center, for the men’s open category, and another racquetball game on the 11th and 12th of the same month, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the Paco Cantos for the benjamin, alevín, infantil and senior. Also, there will be a 3×3 basketball tournament ‘Marbella Marbella’, on June 18, at the Antonio Serrano Lima Pavilion, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
