The City Council of Marbella has started a campaign to control and inspect the occupation of public roads by the hotel terraces, a measure that aims to keep the spaces tidy and attractive, as well as offer a more careful image of the cityas announced on Monday by the municipal spokesman, Félix Romero.
This has been highlighted by the mayor after the celebration of the Local Government Board, where he has realized the initiative, where he has recalled that during the pandemic various measures were taken to compensate businessesespecially to hoteliers due to the consequences that the health crisis was causing in their establishments.
“Once progressively normalcy began to returnat the end of last year it was agreed to return to what was established in the ordinance on this matter and since then we have carried out different information campaigns in the sector with the aim of returning to the same situation prior to the pandemic”, said the municipal official.
In this sense, he has indicated that “in that line will frame the control initiative that we are going to start up”, while at the same time assuring that “the intention does not go through the imposition of sanctions”, so he trusts that “the hoteliers fulfill their obligations”.
Romero has pointed out that the inspection will not only be carried out around tables and chairsbut the use of tripod-type posters will also be controlled, highlighting that they are elements that are not authorized in the ordinance of marbella.
He also thanked the businessmen “for the effort in the homogenization of cartels information about their businesses, one of the lines in which we are working from the City Council with the sector to offer a more careful image of the city”.
On the other hand, the local government has reported a agreement between the district headquarters of Las Chapas with the delegation of Culture and Education and the Platero school to develop a summer cinema in this educational facility during the months of July and August, specifically with screenings on Wednesdays and Fridays.
In addition, Romero has pointed out that the municipal control body has become aware of a series of Andalusian level initiatives such as the decree that regulates the functions of the municipal information centers for women or the treatment program for families with minors at risk of vulnerability.
It has also been known the regional energy strategy for 2030to which you will have to adapt the future General Urban Planning Plan (PGOU), the Andalusian Strategic Plan for Social Services, the subsidies for reconciling personal, work and family life or the regulatory bases of the concession for tourism sustainability plans at the destination.
