The Trapiche de Guadaiza Cultural Center will be the scene from October 11 to 17, I International Cello Festival. The delegate of Foreigners, Remedios Bocanegra, today presented the event together with the director of Culture of San Pedro Alcántara, José Antonio Moreno and the artists Roger Morello and Benoit Granier, and explained that “it is a unique proposal that the music lovers and classical music fans with a total of six concerts, which will start at 7.30 p.m., in which Bach’s cello suites will be performed and which will also feature a gala dinner on the 14th ”.
Moreno, for his part, specified that “it is a satisfaction that San Pedro welcomes such a quality cycle and our purpose is for it to have a vocation for continuity and to become an annual reference event.”
Morello, artistic advisor of the festival, has detailed that “in each concert one of the six suites by Bach and some of the compositions by Benoit Granier will be performed, in addition the intention is to start the first day with a duet and end the last with a sextet, after including trios and quartets in the development of the program ”and has specified that the participants come from Spain, Cuba, Germany and China.
Finally, the composer Benoit Granier has stated that “it is a pleasure to support these young musicians, especially after the pandemic, and to do so in a venue with unbeatable acoustics to perform the Bach suites”.
