The City Council of Marbella is going to launch two free bus lines with more than 160 shipments daily to bring citizens closer to the new Arroyo Segundo fairgrounds during the festivities in honor of San Bernabé, which will take place from June 7 to 12, as announced on Thursday by the Councilor for Traffic and Transport, Enrique Rodríguez.
The mayor has advanced that the dnamed routes A and B will serve the north and center of the urban area, and will include different points where transfers can be made from other districts of the municipal area, such as the Marbella Center stop or the old Portillo building.
Rodríguez, who has encouraged citizens to use public transport to get around during the patron saint festivities of Marbella, has detailed that the services will start from 6:30 p.m. (first arrival at 7:00 p.m.) and that they will last until 3:30 a.m. (last departure at 3:00 a.m.) and that the vehicles will have a passing frequency of 15 minutes.
“A device has been designed with all the resources available to facilitate mobility at the fair of the return to normality”, has indicated the municipal official, who has emphasized that the buses will arrive “up to the very front of the fairgrounds at the end of José Manuel Vallés street to make it more accessible for people with reduced mobility”.
Specifically, the route line A it will be circular and will have an exit from the premises itself through Arias de Velasco avenue at the La Fuente gas station, La Florida at the water tanks, at the outside stop of the Bus stationin the La Concha building and in the El Pinar nursery and reverse route.
For its part, the line route B will also depart from the fair at night and will have stops at Severo Ochoa avenue, the Berrocal and María III buildings in the center, the Mercadona supermarket and at El Pirulí to return via the Porcelanosa Marbella stopUnicaja Marbella Centro – 7 Puertas, Marbella Center and Saneamientos Puya.
“To this special service the 36 daily shipments are added that carry out the lines that have nearby stops”, recalled the councillor, who alluded to the L1, L2, L3, L6, L6B, L8 and L9.
At this point, it has affected that it is still mandatory the use of masks inside of public transport, while it has advanced that the last day of the fair, On Sunday, June 12, there will be an alternative service on some lines due to the traffic cut that will take place on Ramón y Cajal Avenue for the celebration of the Antoñito Molina and Juanlu Montoya concert, which will take place from 8:00 p.m. .
