The Plenary of the Marbella City Council, in ordinary session, will submit this Friday to final approval of the Pinar partial plan, an urban figure that will enable the construction of the Four Seasons luxury hotel and Public endowments of more than 100,000 square meters in the Río Real area, as announced this Thursday by the Councilor for Land Management, María Francisca Caracuel.
The mayor explained that the project “will mean a great economic injection for the Costa del Sol” and has pointed out that during the execution phase will create between 3,500 and 4,000 jobs and in the exploitation one will require a thousand permanent employees.
Caracuel has specified that the partial plan operates on an area of 325,000 square meters, of which 103,000 will be allocated to public facilities through assignments, with cultural, educational, sports, road and parks and gardens planned. The rest, 222,000 square meters, will go both to the construction of a 5-star Grand Luxury hotel of the Four Seasons brand, with 200 rooms, and 486 homes, of which more than half will be exempt single-family homes and the other semi-detached and of the Mediterranean town category. “The buildable area will be 73,100 square meters, so we can say that the density is low for an initiative of this size,” he stressed.
“We are facing a project of great relevance for the city, with a expected execution period of between 2 and 3 years and one investment of 650 million euros ”, The town planning manager has detailed, who has highlighted the fact that “a chain of such international prestige has decided to invest in Marbella, which will allow us to increase the offer of excellence in our municipality and continue to capture quality markets”.
Finally, he pointed out that “it has been a very worked and long management plan, which has had to collect a multitude of sectorial reports and which has required coordination between different administrations ”. “We have to recognize both the commitment of the promoters for the town as the work of the planning team of the City Council that allows us to advance in a project that adds to Marbella, adds to our model and adds to the quality that is the hallmark of the city ”, he stated.
