The La Candelaria de Mijas car park It already has electricity, so in recent days the installations are being put into service, an infrastructure that will make a total of 506 new parking spaces in Las Lagunas, as reported on Wednesday by the mayor of Works, José Carlos Martín.
The mayor stressed that “for reasons unrelated to the administration we have not been able to count on this service before, but since last Friday we have it, so we are checking the entire electrical system, elevators, fire protection, vehicle recharging points in addition to its corresponding electricity and ventilation network, among others”.
In the same way, Martín has reported that “The car park will open its doors as soon as all the facilities are up and runningalthough the neighbors can already enjoy the top of this infrastructure where the department has built a square with a children’s play area”.
This investment of 8 million euros, covered entirely by the municipal coffers, comes to provide the area with 506 new parking spaces in the heart of the urban nucleus in front of spaces such as the Theater or the Ciudad Deportiva Regino Hernández Martín. “This start-up is going to be fundamental not only for the comfort of the neighbors who live in this areabut also for the promotion of commerce and leisure and sports activities”, the councilor pointed out.
Martín has also indicated that “in addition to do not contemplate architectural barriers and the implementation of elevators, the parking has special width parking spaces with 5 meters in length, 2.40 meters in width and 1.20 meters of approach area for people with reduced mobility”.
