The first deputy mayor and mayor of Tourism of the City Council of MijasJosé Carlos Martín, has attended the ‘Travel Blog Experience’ (TBEX), held in Marbella, where the town has had a work table to expose the tourist offer of the city and contact the more than 400 bloggers and professionals from the sector who have gathered in this forum.

“The communication is constantly evolving and from the department we adapt to the formulas that are emerging. The blogs and social networks are great allies to promote tourist destinations and for this reason we could not miss this event”, says Martín.

Thus, in addition to the two days that this meeting lasts, all these influencers known in the world will continue for another twenty days discovering nearby destinations. “This is a new opportunity to strengthen our presence on the internet. All the people with whom we have already contacted and shown our range of possibilities have been interested in visiting us. We hope that during these coming weeks they come to see our benefits in situ and can reflect on their networks and blogs”, adds the councilor.

For his part, the head of the city’s Tourism Service, Juan Carlos Acevedo, has carried out a balance of these two days of presence in TBEXwhere already some bloggers have taken the opportunity to visit Mijas. “This very morning, two Canadian influencers arrived at our Tourist Office who were informed yesterday about our main attractions and left delighted. Like them, we expect the visit of other attendees of this forum, so the publicity that we can achieve is very important”, she assures.

In the same way, in these two days one of the aspects that has most attracted the attention of the influencers has been the one of the 12 golf courses added to the traditional Andalusian white village. The department is exploring this new way of promoting and this season has launched ‘The Selfie Route’ where 15 essential points are highlighted visiting Mijas Pueblo, valuing the views and landscapes.
