The City Council of Mijas has launched the shuttle bus for Eastera free service that will facilitate the access to the town from the Quarry of the Port to avoid parking problems and that for the first time it will be operational throughout the religious holiday, as reported on Thursday by the mayor, Josele González.
The councilor has highlighted that the service “for this Holy Week it will be enabled for the first time from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday“, who has stressed that the quarry “can hold up to 900 vehicles”.
“We have high expectations for this season, which is why we have made a significant effort to clean up the quarry and its access has been pavedShaded spaces have been set up, lighting has been improved and a bathroom has been made available to visitors. Service shuttle will be available “from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. uninterruptedly”, added the mayor of Transport, Nicolás Cruz, who has advanced that “Basic Income staff will collaborate with the management of the bathroom which will be enabled for users until 10 at night and also with the organization of this parking space available for all visitors. Undoubtedly, this service is one more incentive that is added these days to the tourist, commercial and gastronomic attraction that the town offers to the tourists who visit us”.
A 55-seater vehicle will be in charge of bringing visitors closer from the Cantera del Puerto to the center of Mijas Pueblo, “a bus from latest generation and adapted for people with reduced mobility”, he specified.
