The Councilor for Transport and Mobility of the City Council of MijasNicolás Cruz, has reported this Friday that as of May 3 the bus lines M-122, M-127 and M-221 they will recover the frequencies they had before the pandemic, which will mean an expansion of them and of the Schedule for these three bus services offered by the Malaga Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium in Mijas Pueblo and Las Lagunas.

The mayor explained that the line M-127, which connects Fuengirola with Las Lagunas and that makes a circular route, goes from 19 to 21 expeditions and the start and end times are extended of the service, which will cover from 06.45 to 20.40.

I also know services prior to the pandemic are recovered on the M-221 line, linking Fuengirola, Mijas Pueblo, Alhaurín el Grande and Coín, where the one more expedition, going from three to four and the start times of the working day and the end times are reinforced.

Lastly, it goes to reinforce the M-122 linewhich connects Mijas Pueblo with neighboring Fuengirola, and which reinforces its schedules in rush hour passing to more than twenty frequencies a day”, explains the mayor.

In this sense, Cruz has advanced that the M122 line, “the most important from the tourist point of view in Mijas Pueblo and one of the most profitable in the entire province, raises future extensions for the summerweekends, the eve of holidays or even on those days when massive events are expected in the town”.

Thus, the Metropolitan Transport Consortium of the Malaga Areaafter the gradual elimination of restrictions and limitations on mobility as a result of the health crisis that led to a reduction in the demand for travelers and in the number of expeditions in public transport, “recovers from May 3 the services prior to the pandemic in a clear commitment to mobility, to public and collective transport.

The new schedules can be consulted at the mobile application of the Transport Consortium (available for android and iOS), on its website www.ctmam.es, through its social networks or by calling the public service telephone number 955 038 665.
