The Mijas City Hall has put out to tender the ‘5th asphalting plan for urbanizations in Mijas’ for an amount of €1.6 million and that it will affect the streets of 15 residential areas, as announced on Monday by the hiring councilor, Roy Pérez.
The mayor stressed that “interested companies have until July 19or, at seven in the afternoon, to present their proposals, and they can do so through the state contracting platform”.
“Once the final deadline for submission has been reached, the contracting tables in which the works will be awarded”, pointed out Pérez, who added that “the bidding for these works has been divided into 15 lots and, as a novelty, any company can apply for any of these lots or be the winner of the total”.
For his part, the mayor of Infrastructures and Works, José Carlos Martín, has indicated that “this plan is intended to give response to a historical claim by the urbanizations of the locality, which request road improvements and with which already in five editions the Infrastructure area has been working to improve road safety in these areas through a series of resurfacing works under the legal umbrella of the subsidy in spaces”.
According to the municipality, once the works have been awarded, the term of execution of these will be 30 daysso it is expected that they will be completed this year 2022.
The works will not only renew the paving but also signage of the roads and will be carried out in the urbanizations Ana Maria, Bougainvilleas, Calahonda, Campomijas, Chalets Rocío, Cortijo Calahonda, Doña Pilar, El Coto, Gran Calahonda, La Sierrezuela, Los Olivos phase 1 and 2, Mijas Golf, Miraflores and Playa Marina.
