The Ministry of Education has invested 15,004,692 euros in 21 actions aimed at the creation of new centers, expansion, and adaptation of spaces in the educational centers of Marbella.
According to the Andalusian Public Agency for Education (APAE), there are three expansion actions that are in the project definition phase (studying the technical solution) with a total budget of 3,445,000 euros: The adaptation to model C4 of CEIP José Banús with a budget of 1,795,000 euros, the expansion to the D5 + B5.5 center model of the IES Victoria Kent with a budget of 1,400,000 euros, and the Expansion of spaces at IES Dunas las Chapas with a budget of 250,000 euros.
As for the works to adapt spaces, there are fifteen actions scheduled with a total budget of 970,797 euros. The works already completed by CEIP Miguel Hernández stand out, such as the repair of classroom facilities and adapted toilet facilities with a budget of 108,000 euros. Likewise, in the same center, the repair of flaws and cracks in the building and adapted toilet with a budget of 100,000 euros is in the project definition phase.
At IES Victoria Kent, the work has been contracted for the creation of two multipurpose classrooms, with a budget of 249,602.78 euros. At CEIP Vicente Aleixandre, the work of adapting the space has been contracted for the creation of a specific classroom and adapted toilet, as well as in the project definition phase the replacement of the roof in annexes with a total budget of 103,240 euros. At IES Salduba, the work has been completed to obtain a classroom with a budget of 71,267.35 euros, and the adaptation of spaces for a prefabricated module with a budget of 42,000 euros is in the construction phase. At CEIP Maria Teresa Leon, the creation of two multipurpose classrooms is under construction and the adaptation to an on-site kitchen is in the project definition phase, with a total budget of 92,000 euros. At CEIP Our Lady of Carmen, the replacement of asbestos covers is in the execution phase of the project, with a budget of 68,687.44 euros. The CEIP Los Olivos, the adaptation of a specific classroom and adapted toilet is under construction with a budget of 25,000 euros. At CEIP Xarblanca, the adaptation of a toilet is under construction with a budget of 40,000 euros. At CEIP José BanúsThe adaptation to on-site kitchen is in the project definition phase, with a budget of 20,000 euros. Finally, in the CEIP Al-Andalus, the adaptation of the electrical installation is in the execution project with a budget of 51,000 euros.
In addition, the work of the new institute in the area of Hospital Las Chapas (D4 + B22), which will have four lines of Secondary Education and two of Baccalaureate, with a budget of 6,600,000 euros, and works are scheduled to begin before the end of the year. Likewise, in this same center the works of extension of the installation networks are under construction, which will have a budget of 20,000 euros. Regarding the new D3 institute in the sugar zone which has a budget of 3,968,894.82 euros, is scheduled to end next January.
