More than 2,000 people will meet next week at the eleventh edition of ‘Marbella 4 days walking’which will take place from October 6 to 9 with an extension of the program by adding routes through natural spaces of the municipality four theme parties in the Plaza del Mar, as announced this Thursday by the general director of Tourism, Laura de Arce.
This has been highlighted by the municipal manager in the presentation of the event together with the organizers Anabela Wessels and Maria Kupers, where he has emphasized the impact on the local economy of holding this meeting, “since most of the participants will stay an average of seven days in our city, with what it represents for hotel nights and consumption”.
De Arce has reported that “to date there are 1,956 registered and it is expected that the figure will continue to increase because only in the last week 200 people have joined”, while he has stressed that “It is not an event only for foreignersbut all citizens who want to do one or all four routes can participate.
It has also detailed that again the Plaza del Mar “will be the epicenter of this event and from six in the afternoon it will host the nights of parties with music and gastronomy to make it a meeting and entertainment point not only for walkers, but for the general public”.
For his part, Kupers stressed that “we are going to fill more than ten planes with walkers that will be arriving in Marbella from Sunday and we are excited to know that the city has so much capacity for attraction to discover its corners”.
The organizer has revealed that in the first day there will be a beach route, followed by a green route, the route of views and the route of lakes, with a difficulty between low and high depending on the itinerary.
“We have a team of 68 volunteers who will be working on the event”, he informed, to which he added that launch a mobile application which will include an emergency button “where we can directly locate any participant in an emergency”.
