This has been highlighted by the councilor in a meeting held with the Red Cross to coordinate the work of both institutions in the field of humanitarian aid.

These dependencies, located in the Civic Center of Las Albarizas, aim to channel solidarity and facilitate efforts to the resident community and to people of this nationality who are arriving from the conflict zone. Likewise, the councilor has highlighted that so far this month there have been more than 450 people registered in the city coming from this country.

The first mayor, accompanied by the mayors of Social Rights and Resident Foreigners, Isabel Cintado and Remedios Bocanegra, respectively, has indicated that the meeting “is part of the line that we are promoting with the social entities that are working directly to offer help refugees and facilitate the first reception”.

In this sense, he highlighted the work of the Red Cross, “one of the associations that is operating within the first reception program of the central government and the Junta de Andalucía” and added that in cooperation with this organization “we are supporting the information work to regularize the situation of the people who are arriving in our municipality, mainly through the request for temporary protection that includes residence, work, health and school permits”.
