The City Council of marbella will undertake during the summer more than 70 performances conservation and improvement of schools of San Pedro Alcantarafor which an investment of 178,000 euros will be allocated in order to adapt the centers for the next school year, as announced on Wednesday by the deputy mayor of San Pedro, Javier García.
This has been highlighted by the municipal official in a visit he has made to the CCenter for Infant and Primary Education (CEIP) San Pedro Alcántarawhere he has indicated that the work will be carried out in the five schools that the population center has.
García has detailed that the objective of the actions is that “the facilities are in good condition when classes resume in the month of September”, detailing that they will have an investment of 178,000 euros, of which 150,000 will be contributed by the company awarded the ‘conservation plan for educational centres’, Covico, and 28,000 by the local Administration to pay for the work of the municipal Operational Services, he indicated.
The deputy mayor has indicated that the interventions that will be carried out “simultaneously” during the summer in educational centers will have a duration of “8 weeks taking advantage of the vacation period” and respond to the “demand” of the directors of the schools of the sampedreño population nucleus.
In this way, it has specified that from the CEIP San Pedro Alcántara the main requests revolve around “the replacement of the baseboards of the walls and the halls by colored vinyl panels, which is a cleaner and more modern material and happier colors”, as well as “the problems of rainwater and humidity will be solved and the façade will be painted”.
On the other hand, he pointed out that since the CEIP Al Andalus have been sued”shaded areas on center court”, for which he has assured that “a project is being studied to be able to execute it”, and a storage space for educational material. Likewise, action will be taken “in painting, gutter, in the downspouts and humidity problems will be solved”.
In the CEIP Fuentenueva is going to undertake the “perimeter fence” of a part of the center in order to “seek the intimacy of the educational community”, as well as the garden area, the doors, the facade will be painted and the climbing wall will be conditionedthe municipal official has influenced.
At CEIP Miguel Hernández, García specified that “the perimeter wall that overlooks Jorge Guillén street will be replaced because it is in poor condition and, although it is the responsibility of the Junta de Andalucía, we assume it as our own for security reasons” and they are also going to communicate the special education classrooms with the toilets.
