The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, confirmed this Friday that there are “fairly clear indications” that the “very serious” forest fire that affects several municipalities on the Malaga Costa del Sol and where a firefighter has died “may be provoked “, and has warned that, if so, they will” hunt down those murderers “who may have caused it.

This has been asserted by the president of the Board to questions from journalists during his participation in the inauguration ceremony of the new school for Early Childhood and Primary Education ‘Al-Ándalus’ in Utrera (Seville) coinciding with the start of the 2021-2022 school year , after which he is going to move to the area of the fire that affects the province of Malaga to “directly measure from there how the situation is” and how he can contribute to the fight against it, as he himself confirmed.

Moreno explained that there are “clear indications” that the fire has been caused because “the fire has two sources”, in addition to the fact that it was generated at night, “when aerial means cannot access” the place, which caused it to be ” burning all night ”, and, in addition, one of the lights is located“ in a steep area, so we cannot send the fire engines ”to the place.

“Curiously”, in addition, “the next day they knew perfectly well that there would be gusts of east wind over 45 kilometers per hour”, as added by the president, who has indicated that there are too many “coincidences” not to think that the fire has been started.

However, he pointed out that “there is still an investigation” into the causes of the fire, for which he has asked “all police forces” to put “all the resources within our reach”, and has warned that , if the Police and the Civil Guard confirm “definitively that the fire has been intentional, we are going to hunt down those murderers, with all the means we have at our disposal.”
