The City Council of marbella has shown this past Wednesday its support for the ONCE social group, which has carried out the march ‘The road makes us equal’ to make the public aware of the problems faced daily by people with visual impairmentas announced by the Councilor for Social Rights, Isabel Cintado.

This has been highlighted by the municipal manager in a visit he has made together with the mayor of Transport, Enrique Rodríguez, to the information table installed by the entity on Ricardo Soriano avenue, within the framework of the program of activities that it is developing throughout the week.

Cintado has underlined the work carried out “to improve the quality of life of this group, promoting their autonomy and full educational, social and labor integration”, while recalling that it is part of the Marbella volunteering platform since its inception.

Rodríguez, for his part, has pointed out that “all the transportation projects currently undertaken always include corrective measures so that the city ​​is becoming more accessible” and highlighted ONCE’s collaboration in this regard.

The director of the agency in Marbella, Cristina Cervantes, has indicated that “the Consistory does a lot of its part so that the urban design of the town is inclusivealthough we know that it is complicated and cannot be completely transformed in the short term” and highlighted the importance of the initiative that took place this morning “to visualize everyday reality of these people.”
