The Urology and Nephrology service of Quirónsalud Marbella Hospital has been a finalist in the awards National Best Spanish Hospitals Awards (BSH) for its medical care in kidney and urinary tract processes.
In the third edition of these awards, whose delivery ceremony took place this Thursday in Seville, the Marbella hospital has received recognition as finalist in the category of kidney and urinary tract processes.
The BSH awards are awards that are especially valued by the Spanish healthcare sector insofar as they assess the best results in healthcare management and quality of care. To define which hospitals receive the awards for their best results, up to 250 indicators from up to ten categories have been analyzed.
The Urology Service of the Hospital Quirónsalud Marbella has received the award as a ratification of the coordination work of the two specialties involved. “It is very gratifying to receive this award, which is a recognition together with the teamwork of the Hospital Urology and Nephrology services“, said the head of the Urology Service, Dr. Pablo Navarro Vílchez.
“In addition, – he added – the fact that the professionals themselves are the ones who evaluate our patient care processes, is a stimulus and an incentive for all of us”.
The recent recognition adds to others awards, as the first BSH national award in the diagnostic category of the musculoskeletal system and two accrediting diplomas in the diagnostic categories of Women and Digestive and Hepatopancreatic Diseases received in 2020. In 2019, Quirónsalud Marbella stood out in the category of Diagnosis of Women, Respiratory System and Global Results.
A total of 122 hospitals have gathered in this edition, the BSH Awards, 65 of them public and 57 private. This is 16% more than in the second edition, in which 105 hospitals participated, 52 public and 53 private.
