The Hospital Quirónsalud Marbella and the Quirónsalud Foundation have announced the launch of a Accompaniment program for patients over 65 years of age in risk of loneliness or with a functional diversity profile whose objective is to improve the quality of time during their hospital stay.

The Marbella health center and the Quirónsalud Foundation have promoted a collaboration agreement with the local association Marbella Voluntaria whose formalization has been carried out this Friday in a ceremony held at the City Hall, in which the mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, has participated; and the Councilor for Social Rights, Isabel Cintado Melgar.

Also present were the president of the Marbella Voluntary association, Mari Carmen Bertomeu Godoy; the managing director of the Hospital Quirónsalud Marbella, Lola Sheriff Blacksmith; and the deputy director of operations of the Hospital Quirónsalud Marbella, Miguel Calderon Cid.

The mayor has valued the importance of specific programs like this. “We feel very satisfied and very proud to see such a benchmark hospital at the hospital and clinical care level as Quirónsalud also wants to cover that social part”he pointed out, pointing out that the agreement “will allow those people who in this case are admitted to be accompanied by Marbella Voluntaria”.
