The Performing Arts Center (CAE) La Alcoholera de San Pedro will offer this fall a “varied and quality” program with headliners such as the actor Rafael Álvarez ‘El Brujo’, the comedian Manu Sánchez or the Yllana Teatro company. The deputy mayor of Sampedreño, Javier García, who has been accompanied by the general director of Education and Culture in San Pedro Alcántara, José Antonio Moreno, has announced today the scheduled shows between October 9 and December 18 and has emphasized that “this summer we have focused on the outdoor performing arts and now cultural venues such as the CAE or the Trapiche de Guadaiza Cultural Center are taking over ”.

The mayor, who has valued that the main objective of the agenda “is that the works reach all audiences, also with affordable prices”, has indicated that there will be a total of eight shows, five for adults and three for children. “We want to consolidate a tradition of theater in San Pedro,” said García, while he alluded to the fact that it will take place in parallel from November 9 to 18 the School Theater Campaign, aimed at Primary, ESO and Baccalaureate students in collaboration with the Junta de Andalucía, and from October 11 to 17, in the Trapiche de Guadaiza, the International Cello Festival. “We will continue to schedule activities not only cultural, but also tourist, sports or recreational, even more so now that we are leaving the pandemic behind,” he pointed out.

For his part, Moreno has detailed that the starting gun for the autumn program will be this Saturday, October 9, at 8:00 p.m., with the play ‘Se finished’, by the comedian Manu Sánchez, “A totally new show that has only been premiered on another stage before being scheduled in San Pedro.”

The relay will take it on November 6, at 8:00 p.m., Rafael Álvarez ‘El Brujo’, with the staging of ‘Two tables and one passion’, Meanwhile he November 19, at the same time, the comedian Santi Rodríguez will bring to CAE La Alcoholera ‘Como en casa en nada’. On November 20, at 6:00 p.m., it will be the turn of ‘Blowing’, by the company Múcab Dans & Tony Mira, “With a very innovative music and dance proposal for the little ones.”

The month of December will be opened on the 4th by the La Pícara company with the dance and flamenco proposal ‘Material’ (20 hours), followed on December 10, at 9 pm, by the play ‘On the way to the Dionisias’, by Carazapato Teatro. On December 12, at 6:00 p.m., the comedy will arrive on the stage of San Pedro by the hand of Yllana Teatro, “a cultural reference that will stage ‘Chef’”, as explained by the general director of Culture of San Pedro, and On December 18, at 6:00 p.m., La Maquiné will close the autumn program with ‘Acrobat and Harlequin’.

Moreno has reported that the price of tickets will be a maximum of 15 euros for works aimed at adults and between 4 and 8 euros for children, with discounts provided for holders of the Golden Card, unemployed or members of the Association of Friends of the Theater. Tickets can be purchased at the CAE box office two hours before the show and, in the case of the adult theater, on Fridays at the Rosa Verde Cultural Center, from 10 am to 2 pm.
