Acosol SA, the water company dependent on the Commonwealth of Municipalities of the Western Costa del Sol, has reported this Friday that after the repair, loading and subsequent washing and water quality maneuvers, the water supply has been restored since last night in the affected areas of Mijas and also in Fuengirola, arriving progressively throughout this Friday, depending on the situation (distance to the tank and height with respect to sea level) of each building.
Due to the fortuitous nature of the break and the complexity of the repair work as it is a large pipe (1 meter in diameter), Acosol “had estimated the restoration of supply for the weekend but it could be done ahead of schedule, and after 5 days of laborious repair actions, it has been restored since 10:30 pm this past Thursday, “they have specified from the water company.
Acosol also wanted to reiterate the apologies to the neighbors affected by these repair works.
