The president of the Diputación and Tourism Costa del Sol, Francisco Salado, has underlined this Wednesday the leadership of the Costa del Sol as the world capital of golf in the acts of Solheim Cup ‘One Year to Go’where he highlighted that with one year to go until the most important women’s golf competition in the world begins, more than 20,000 tickets have already been sold.

Salado has attended the different acts that mark the start of the countdown to the event, such as a tournament at hole 1 of Finca Cortesín de Casares, in which has participated Suzanne Petersen, captain of the European Solheim Cup team, along with several ‘celebrities’. Likewise, the countdown and the ‘longest swing’ have been started, an event in which 365 children have participated with a blow from the Puerto Banús dam into the sea with biodegradable balls.
