The Governing Board of the Brotherhood of the Patron Saint San Pedro de Alcántara, agreed last night unanimously «worship and procession for our Sacred Titular ». In this way, it will be the first time since the beginning of the pandemic that San Pedro de Alcantara will go out in procession, and after the Bishopric of Malaga has recently authorized the resumption of processions, pilgrimages and other cults on public roads.
The services that are planned will be the triduum in honor of San Pedro de Alcántara, which will take place on October 15, 16 and 17 in his temple, and on the big day, the October 19, when the Eucharists will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., after which the Patron Saint will leave in procession. In addition, the day is declared as local holiday in the municipality of Marbella.
San Pedro de Alcántara will once again be carried by the men and women of throne through the streets of the town, accompanied by its Governing Board and the procession of representatives of other brotherhoods and brotherhoods, and the public representatives.
All participants must present to the Brotherhood protocol group their COVID or PCR certificate for the last 48 hours. Likewise, the carriers will be reduced in anticipation of safety distances. Several teams are expected to participate during the procession, to be relieved more frequently.
