The Association of Small and Medium Enterprises of San Pedro (Apymespa) has promoted for the start of the course a school card that contemplates discounts of up to 20% in twenty shops in the population centerin Marbella, a measure that aims to support families and the retail fabric, as reported on Tuesday by the general director of Culture and Education in San Pedro de San Pedro, José Antonio Moreno.
The municipal manager presented today together with the president of the group, Ana García, a campaign launched in collaboration with the associations of fathers and mothers (AMPAS), and has underlined that the objective is “support local retail establishments and help families during the return to school, at which time they must make a very important outlay”.
For his part, García, who thanked the Mayor’s Office for its support “for revitalize the commercial sector in San Pedro”, he highlighted that the discount school card program celebrates its fourteenth edition this year and has detailed that the campaign has been joined by businesses in sectors such as stationery stores, bookstores, academies, dental clinics, clothing and footwear stores for children, opticians, jewelers or medical services.
Altogether, it is planned to distribute 2,000 cards through the AMPAS. “It is an initiative that has been growing year after year”, he assessed, while stating “despite the fact that the sector has gone through difficult times, it is very strong and has a great capacity for entrepreneurship”. Likewise, he has pointed out that “it was especially important support families at a time when inflation is taking its toll especially in its economy.
