The population center of San Pedro Alcántara, in Marbella, will resume next Sunday, September 18, the celebration of his traditional Pedal Day after two years of hiatus due to the pandemic, with departure at 11:00 a.m. from the Plaza de la Iglesiaas reported this Wednesday by the deputy mayor of San Pedro, Javier García.

Registration for this activity, leaving at 11:00 a.m. from the Plaza de la Iglesia and arrival at Parque de los Tres Jardines at 12.30it is free and the helmet use is recommended for participants and mandatory for those under 16 years of age.

Garcia highlighted the involvement of the clubs “for the promotion of a healthy sports practice and, at the same time, respectful with the environment”. “Also, It is used to get children interested in this activity.”, he indicated, pointing out that “it is a very familiar test”.

For his part, the Councilor for Sports Activities, Javier Mérida, added that it is celebrated “within the activities of the European Mobility Week organized by the City Council and the Mayor’s Office of San Pedro” and explained that, from 09:00 to 11:00 (time of the controlled exit), the inscriptions in the tent that will be enabled in the Plaza de la Iglesia, giving each participant a t-shirt, a bottle of water and a ticket to participate in the subsequent prize draw. “This is not a competitive test,” she stressed.

The planned itinerary, after leaving the Plaza de la Iglesia, will run along the Pablo Ruiz Picasso avenue, Jorge Guillén and Príncipe de Asturias streetsVirgen del Rocío avenue, Glorieta Pedro Gil, Manuel González Portilla street, Juan Vargas, Luis Braille, Mediterranean and Carlos Cano avenues (Maritime Walk to Mar Abierta Restaurant where you turn around) to take the Malaga-Cádiz direction.
