The fall of the wind at night has improved operating conditions in the Sierra Bermeja fire. The firefighters have focused on the Right side, as reported by INFOCA, “already determining and intervening in various areas of opportunity.”
With the first light of the day the aerial means have been incorporated, and right now there are 41 aircraft operating in the area. The amphibious aircraft of the Air Force focus on the high area of Sierra Bermeja and in the place of Los Reales.
So far there is 1,050 evictions, and following this morning’s meeting of the INFOCA Plan Operations Committee, no new evictions are planned nor more exceptional measures of Civil Protection. At the moment the order of evacuations is maintained. In Estepona, houses have been evicted in Las Abejeras, Forest Hills, Charca de las Extranjeras, Huerta del Padrón, River Velerín, River Castor and Charca de las Otters, as well as in the urbanization Montemayor of Benahavís.
On Genalguacil and Jubrique, the population has been confined to their houses since yesterday afternoon.
