The Association of Small and Medium Enterprises of Marbella (Apymem) has awarded an award to the City Council in recognition of its support to the group during the pandemic. The mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, has attended this Friday the 42nd anniversary gala held by the employers, where the awards were given to different entrepreneurs and local businesses, and has valued that SMEs and the self-employed “are also heroes of a health crisis that they have faced with great strength and courage.”
The first mayor thanked the award and recalled that “we have been the only administration in the city that we have granted direct aid worth 3.5 million euros to SMEs and the self-employed ”, as well as“ we have made available all the resources they have needed ”. “We will continue to bet because SMEs have the best tools to position themselves in a very competitive market, such as digital signatures or technology platforms,” he has advanced.
For his part, the president of Apymem, Enrique Guerrero, has stressed that “among so many very complicated proposals, the aid from the Marbella City Council has been effective and has reached thousands of entrepreneurs and freelancers.”
At the gala, which was attended by the Councilor for Economic Development, Cristóbal Garre, the following awards were also awarded:
-Veteran Company: Valencian Ice Cream Shop.
-Business Management: Centro Plaza Shopping Center.
-Innovative Company: Náuticas Selemar.
-Family Business: Viveros Guzmán.
-Professional career: Ramón Dávila.
-Most relevant businessman: Count Rudolf Graf Von Schönburg.
-To the institutions: In addition to the Marbella City Council, the Federation of Self-Employed Workers (ATA).
