The mayor of Marbella, Angeles Muñoz, today presided over the act of designation of the access stairway to the Plaza del Santo Sepulcro with the name of Nuestra Señora del Mayor Dolor. The councilor has indicated that this initiative “completes the tribute to the Sacred Holders of the Brotherhood of the Nazarene and is a deserved recognition of their work, effort and commitment.” He also added that “he develops, with his Elder Brother, Juan Pedro Pérez, a work in different areas that fills us with pride and is a benchmark of Holy Week in our city.”
Muñoz has highlighted that “2021 is a very special date for the brotherhood because it is the 75th anniversary of the blessing of Our Father Jesus Nazarene and the 25th of María Santísima del Mayor Dolor, becoming an exercise of joy and which is reinforced with today’s event, a proposal that has been widely supported ”. Finally, it has encouraged its members “to continue contributing to the history of our city to continue enlarging our Holy Week.”
