Today the Casares Youth House reopens its doors. The youth facilities, which have remained closed in accordance with health regulations, open their doors with new spaces for young people and the renovation of furniture, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Young people will be able to enjoy from today the new renovated space that includes the creation of a audiovisual space with new sofas and shelves, the restructuring of the study table area and other activities, as well as pool games, table football, ping pong, which includes a new air hockey table.
The Department of Youth continues to work on the renovation of the facilities of the Casa de la Juventud, according to the project presented by a group of young people from Casares in which they asked a renovation of the furniture and the restructuring of spaces with the installation of a kitchen, a study room and a terrace.
Councilor Nicolás Morales has indicated that, after a first investment of 9,500 euros, the City Council is working on the second phase that will involve the creation of a kitchen area for people over 15 years of age, where users can prepare some snacks and where cooking courses can be offered.
A space for which the City Council has a budget of around 12,000 euros and which will be located next to the exterior windows, with the idea of continuing with the construction of a small terrace, another of the proposals put forward by young people that will be screened once the connection of this Youth House with the Huertezuela sports area is made.
