The City Council has recognized today, posthumously, the trajectory of Antonio de Sola in the fields of sports and tourism with the assignment of its name to a city square, located at the confluence between Vázquez Clavel and Vicente Blasco Ibáñez streets. The mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, presided over the event together with family and friends of the honoree and pointed out that “we have gathered to remember one of the people who have marked the history of our city for good.”

The councilor highlighted that “De Sola’s legacy in the aforementioned areas has contributed to cementing the Marbella of today.” “Since he arrived in our city in 1968, accompanied by his wife Pamela and forming a beautiful family with four children, it was clear to him that his was to lend his shoulder to contribute to the prosperity of the city ”, The mayor has indicated, who recalled that “he was not satisfied with being a mere spectator of the events and was involved in the first person with the sports world and with the tourism sector.”
