The city Hall has taken a definitive step to equip San Pedro Alcántara with a new Tourism office and multipurpose room in the Bulevar area. The deputy mayor of Sampedreño, Javier García, has advanced that the project, which will be ready by the end of 2022, has received the green light from the Malaga Provincial Council, which will fully finance the future equipment with an investment of 690,000 euros. “At the moment, the specifications are already in the municipal contracting service and the forecast is that the execution of the works will culminate in the last quarter of next year,” the mayor has detailed.
García stressed that the installation “will respond to the demands and needs raised by citizens, in addition to groups from different fields, it will have the most advanced technical and technological equipment and will represent an important advance compared to the previous Tourist Office, which had already become small and obsolete ”. In addition, he has indicated that its location, on the Boulevard next to Marqués del Duero street, will offer an image of modernity at the entrance to San Pedro Alcántara.
The works, which will have an execution period of six months, “will provide added value to our city, both for tourists who visit us and for associations and entities that will benefit from these facilities,” said the councilor. “Our commitment is to continue adding facilities in San Pedro Alcántara, such as the tender already launched for the Sports Center in the southern area of the Boulevard, or other projects such as the future municipal library or the new School of Music and Dance, with the aim of continuing to respond to the needs posed by our neighbors ”, has completed.
