The VII Great International Cleanup of the Seabed and Beaches took place this Saturday on the Castillo de la Duquesa beaches. Launched by the Delegation of Environment of the City Council of Manilva, whose responsible is Laura López, the mayor, Mario Jiménez, the Beaches councilor, Eva Galindo and the councilors Diego José Jiménez and Francisco Becerra were also present.
This activity has had the collaboration of the Asociación Subacuática de Casares, the Manilva Yacht Club and Marinas del Mediterráneo. All of them wanted to thank the great work done by these volunteers, who in turn have given Laura López a detail in the form of a mural. 200 kg of waste has been collected, so an important cleaning has been carried out, although the main reading is that human beings must protect and take better care of our environment.
