The Marbella City Council has taken a first step towards Obtaining the land that will house the refurbishment of the margins of the A-7176 Marbella-Istán road with the signing of the transfer agreement by half of the owners of the affected area. This has been announced at the end of the Local Government Board by the municipal spokesperson, Félix Romero, who has indicated that “it is a highly demanded project that is going to incorporate roundabouts, sidewalks and lighting in a stretch of about two kilometers that runs without shoulders to guarantee the safety of pedestrians and cyclists who use it daily ”.
The mayor recalled that on July 28 a model agreement was approved for the transfer of the contiguous lands that, as specified, “has been signed by four of the eight owners who will have to reorder their uses” and has indicated that the action, which has a total investment of 5 million euros, of which 40% are contributed by the City Council and 60% by the Junta de Andalucía, “will backbone the entire environment with the construction of shoulders of 1.5 meters in length, perimeter pavements, gardens and new lighting”.
The Local Government Board has also been informed of various decrees for the approval of subsidies in the field of Culture and Education. Specifically, the competition has been called to grant aid to the associations of mothers and fathers (Ampas) of Marbella and San Pedro Alcántara in a competitive competition regime, with a total amount of 117,000 euros and a maximum of 3,000 euros for each group. As the mayor has highlighted, “they carry out fundamental work in the educational system and we want to provide them with resources so that they continue to carry out their work in the best possible conditions.” He explained that the objective is to promote the development of invigoration programs, encourage the participation of families in the centers and promote their collaboration for the prevention of gender violence or school absenteeism, as well as support the implementation of workshops, conferences or the celebration of different festivities. In addition, a nominative grant of 3,000 euros has been awarded to the Association of High Capacities of Marbella and San Pedro Alcántara Ignacio García-Valiño so that they continue to offer comprehensive care to children and young people in school.
In the urban section, Romero has specified that six building licenses have been granted for a total of 4 million euros for the construction of single-family homes, with an execution budget of more than 600,000 euros in all cases, and has also been given the green light to a basic refurbished project for the expansion of a private health center worth 700,000 euros. Finally, it has been reported a rectification of the Regulations of the Association of Civil Protection Volunteers published in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP).
