The Costa del Sol hospital in Marbella celebrated ‘International Nursing Day’ this Thursday by paying tribute to all professionals and to those who carry out this very important work in the four centers of the Health Agency, as reported by the Junta de Andalucía, which will illuminate the facade of the External Consultations area in blue.

Specifically, the tribute was paid to the professionals of the Hospital Costa del Sol in Marbella, High Resolution Hospital (HAR) of Benalmádena, Center for High Resolution Specialties (CARE) of Mijas and High Resolution Hospital (HAR) in Estepona.

On May 12, 1820 he was born Florence Nightingale, precursor and mother of modern nursing as a profession. In her time, this woman was known as the lamp, a popular figure for altruistically giving light to hundreds of patients.

More than 200 years later, in the framework International Nursing Day commemorative these professionals continue to set an example of perseverance, effort and commitment and have demonstrated this once again during the complicated pandemic period that they have had to live.

To pay this “deserved tribute”, the Costa del Sol hospital has carried out a series of activities, including the reading of a manifesto by the Director of NursingDavid Sánchez, who has been accompanied by the center’s managing director, Antonio Luis Cansino, and other professionals from this group.

In addition, the hospital has adhered to the proposal made by the College of Nursing of Malaga from light the building blue in order to pay tribute to all nurses. Specifically, tonight the façade of the External Consultations of the Costa del Sol hospital will be illuminated in this color.
