The Territorial Committee of Public Health Alert of Malaga yesterday agreed to lower the health districts of the Axarquía, Serranía de Ronda and Vega de Antequera, while the Costa del Sol, Malaga capital and Guadalhorce they will remain in Level 2 for at least one more week.

This decision has come into effect last midnight and it was agreed after studying the specific evaluation reports carried out by the Epidemiology Section of the respective territorial delegations of the Ministry of Health and Families. Although the Sanitary District of the Costa del Sol came out of the high risk situation several days ago, and its incidence rate is below the 250 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, some of the main municipalities are still above this figure.

The territorial committees of High Impact Public Health Alerts carry out continuous monitoring of the epidemiological situation in their provinces and report on the need to maintain, or modulate alert levels and its degrees according to the sanitary risk and the proportionality of the measures. They meet every Wednesday to assess the situation of the municipalities and their decisions are maintained for a week, until the next meeting.
