About, Juan Manuel Rosas, Mayor of the Mijas Local Policehas highlighted that “the most important thing is that in a municipality like Mijas, with 14 kilometers of coastlinethis security work practically at the foot of the beach is very necessary, and even more important if possible, is the prevention that supposes that the patrol is on the coastal strip all day, avoiding the development of infractions, both on the coast, like on the beaches.
The service will be carried out by a couple of agents from the Cycling Unit, who will lend their services every day of the week from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. until early September. “We are here for any need of the user and of the people who demand our service on the coastal path”, pointed out one of the agents of this unit.
Lastly, the City Council has reminded that this service is added to those already established for the summer season on the Mijas coast, such as the extensive rescue and lifeguard service device or the use of rescue drones for the high season.
