The mayor and Councilor for Equality of the Benalmádena City Council, Víctor Navas, recalled today that the deadline for submitting to the Benalmádena Business Woman Award is still open.
This award is organized by the Benalmádena City Council together with the “Arroyo-Benalmádena” Women’s Association, the Benalmádena Merchants and Entrepreneurs Association (ACEB), and the Andalusian Entrepreneurship Center (CADE) of Benalmádena.
“The purpose of this award is to recognize and make visible the achievements and efforts of women, who generate and keep their companies active in our municipality, especially in the moments that we have lived and continue to live due to the COVID pandemic”, recalled the mayor .
This award is aimed at all those women entrepreneurs who have found the possibility of creating their business, in a context where every day they face new challenges to position themselves in a highly competitive and innovative market.
“Women still do not have equal opportunities when creating their businesses, which is why these initiatives are still necessary,” said Navas.
The Women Entrepreneur of Benalmádena award distinguishes two categories among the participants: individual businesswoman, and businesswoman with contracted personnel, and the City Council gives the winners of both categories a cash prize of 400 euros and a plaque of recognition.
The company must be located in Benalmádena and it must be an individual entrepreneur, or that the participation in the company is exercised by women at least 51%.
Finally, remember that the application period is open until October 29. The bases can be consulted on the website of the City Council, and for more information, you can contact the Municipal Information Center for Women.
