The XXII International Fantastic Film Week of the Costa del Sol, will be held in the Father Manuel Cultural Center and Felipe VI Auditorium from Estepona September 5 to 11. Programming is advanced with a exposition from Nacho Fernandez, one of the most prestigious Spanish cartoonists, internationally recognized for his pencils in works such as El Supergrupo, Dragon Fall or Fan Hunter.
“The art of Nacho Fernández ” will take place on wednesday September 1st, at 19:00 hours, on the Room 1 of the House of Las Tejerinas , the exhibition will be made up of a series of sections that cover the different stages in the career of this cartoonist and comic scriptwriter, such as Dragon Fall, Fanhunter, Kung Fu Mousse-Kung Fu Monkey, Los Mundos de Valken and that can be seen until fifteen September. The entrance to this exhibition is accessible gratuitous.
The Bilbao cartoonist, who has been living and working in Estepona for a couple of years, will be one of the honorees this year at the XXII Film Contest, during the closing gala of the XXII Costa del Sol Fantastic Film Week, which will take place on Saturday 11, at 20:00 hours, at Felipe VI Auditorium, Nacho Fernandez will receive the Award “AZPIRI” for Best Illustrator 2021, in homage to the immortal genius Alfonso Azpiri. His new adventure is called Wargasmer, a webcomic of humor and fantasy that is published weekly in his own account of Patreon. To date he has worked for publishers such as Planeta, Norma, Panini, Grafito, Dolmen, Letrablanka.
