The Estepona City Council informs that the XXII International Fantastic Film Week of the Costa del Sol, which will be held at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center and the Felipe VI Auditorium in Estepona from September 5 to 11, advances its programming with an exhibition by Nacho Fernández , one of the most prestigious Spanish cartoonists, internationally recognized for his pencils in works such as El Supergrupo, Dragon Fall or Fan Hunter.

The opening of the exhibition, entitled “The art of Nacho Fernández” will take place on Wednesday, September 1, at 7:00 p.m., in Room 1 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, and will be composed of a series of sections that cover the different stages in the career of this cartoonist and comic scriptwriter, such as Dragon Fall, Fanhunter, Kung Fu Mousse-Kung Fu Monkey, Los Mundos de Valken … which can be seen until September 15, with free access.

The Bilbao cartoonist, who has been living and working in Estepona for a couple of years, will be one of the honorees this year at the XXII Film Contest; During the closing gala of the XXII Costa del Sol Fantastic Film Week, which will take place on Saturday 11, at 8:00 p.m., in the Felipe VI Auditorium, Nacho Fernández will receive the “AZPIRI” Award for Best Illustrator 2021, in homage to the immortal genius Alfonso Azpiri. His new adventure is called Wargasmer, a humor and fantasy webcomic that is published weekly on his own Patreon account.
