Felipe VI Auditorium of Estepona

The ‘Inestal Duo’ of violin and guitar will offer a concert next Saturday, October 30, at 8:00 p.m., at the Felipe VI Auditorium.

The Salamanca duo is formed by the brothers Luís (violin) and Eduardo (guitar). At present, Luís is a full member of the JONDE (Young National Orchestra of Spain), and Eduardo is a professor at the “Robert Schumann” University and the “Clara Schumann” Conservatory of Düsseldorf (Germany).

In this concert, organized by the Estepona City Council, will perform works by Máximo Diego Pujol, Manuel de Falla, Astor Piazzolla and Pablo De Sarasate, among others.

Admission is free, after collecting invitations at the municipal delegation of Culture, located in the Padre Manuel Cultural Center.

The musicians: Luis and Eduardo

LUIS INESTAL Violin, he was born in Salamanca in 1996. He began his guitar studies at the age of four under the guidance of his brother, the guitarist Eduardo Inestal, and at the age of five he began piano at the Gombau Music School.

Later he entered the Professional Conservatory of Music of Salamanca, at the age of seven, to study violin, and continued his musical training at the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts of the Alfonso X El Sabio University in Madrid.

In 2021 he finished his studies at the Brussels Royal Conservatory, with teacher Shirly Laub. During this training period, he has received masterclasses from violinists such as Ilya Kaler, Stephan Picard, Shirly Laub, Keiko Wataya, and Yu Yamei, among many others. He has performed concerts in Spain, Germany, Holland and Italy, among which those performed with the NJO (National Jeugd Orkest) stand out. He is currently a full member of the JONDE (Young National Orchestra of Spain)

EDUARDO INESTAL Guitar, he studied at the Higher Conservatory of Music in Salamanca and at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf.

He has won 15 awards in international competitions, such as the ‘Norba Caesarina’, ‘José Tomás – Villa de Petrer’, ‘Villa de Aranda’, “Cesar Aira”, “Luys Milan”, “New generation Guitar Competition” among others, he has developed an important concert activity as a soloist and chamber musician in Europe, Africa and the Americas.

He is invited to numerous music festivals, such as the “Havana International Guitar Festival” (Cuba), “Segovia International Festival”, “Young International Masters” (León), “Petrer Guitar Week” (Spain) , “Klanken Festival Maastrich” (Holland), “Niederrhein-Musikfestval” (Germany), “Düsseldorf Guitar Festival” (Germany), or “The guitar in the Falla gardens” (Granada), among many others, appearing in important venues such as the Manuel de Falla Auditorium in Granada, the Lope de Vega Theater in Valladolid, the Conde Duque Theater or the Juan March Foundation in Madrid, the “Ciudad de León” Auditorium, Robert Schumann Saal in Düsseldorf, the Philharmonie in Colonia or the National Theater of Cuba.

His guitar has been heard in various countries and he has premiered numerous works written and dedicated to him by composers such as Joaquín Clerch, José María Gallardo del Rey, Simone Iannarelli, Pepe Payá, Javier Salvador, Francisco Albert Ricote, Santago Quinto, Daniel Real, Pablo Rodriguez, Marius Bajog or Jan Freidlin. It has also made the world premiere of works by Juan Cruz Guevara, Alberto Trabajos, Daniel Casado, Mischa Tangian or Claudio Prieto Guido López Gavilán, among others.

His chamber music activity has led him to work with music personalities such as the guitarist Joaquín Clerch, the pianists Alberto Rosado or Anthony Spiri, the bassoonist of the Concertgebouw Simon Van Holen, the flutist Anete Maiburg or the conductors Thomas Gabrisch, Desar Sulejmani , Dorel Murgu or Leo Brouwer, among others.

He has six record albums, being “La Guitarra de Burgos” (2012) the most prominent and celebrated, becoming the head of the classical radio program, (RNE) “La Guitarra” directed and presented by Ángel Sánchez Manglanos. In 2016 “Premieres, new music for guitar” was born where he records works by current composers dedicated to him. In 2017 he recorded with Joaquín Clerch and José Luis Morillas the chamber work for guitar by Jean Maurice Mourat with the prestigious IBS label, obtaining the “Melómano de Oro” award.

Eduardo Inestal is currently a professor at the “Robert Schumann” University of Düsseldorf and the “Clara Schumann” Düsseldorf Conservatory (Germany) and is regularly invited to offer Master Classes at numerous institutions and festivals, as well as as a jury in international competitions.
