Extinguishing work continues throughout the extension of the fire in Sierra Bermeja, which has affected about 3,600 hectares for the moment and which has focused overnight on containing the forest fire on the road that goes up from Estepona to Peñas Blancas with technical fire and in keeping the area of Jubrique and Genalguacil contained.
The INFOCA Plan has made the decision to raise the severity level to 2, that is, state media not assigned to said Plan may be incorporated, or they may involve emergency situations that lead to cases in which the national interest is at stake.
