Marbella has inaugurated this Wednesday its day fairwith about twenty booths from different groups located on Paseo de la Alameda and Avenida del Mar. At the opening ceremony, which was attended by the acting mayor of the municipality, Ángeles Muñoz, the tribute plaque to the Peña de la Bunganvilla, to which this year the entrance arch next to the Virgen del Rocío fountain is dedicated.
Muñoz has pointed out that “the festivities in honor of San Bernabé They began on Tuesday night with the reading of the proclamation, the coronation of the queens and ladies and the fireworks session and now the daytime edition begins in two emblematic spaces of the city where fun will be guaranteed” .
Likewise, he stressed that “more than 500 troops, including some 300 local police officers, will ensure security during these days so that the fair can take place without incident.” He also explained that “we wanted to recognize a club that emerged in the eighties and that has always had a great relationship with the town and, in a very special way, with the San Bernabé Fair”.
For her part, the president of the group, Mercedes de Casas, has shown her gratitude to the Marbella Town Hall and has stressed that “we are a group of friends united by joy and the desire to have fun that we have spent many years sharing moments of leisure, trips and cultural projects”.
